DJ Paradise

DJ Carmen Paradise joined the House of Cards team as a DJ in 2018. It was an easy fit: Carmen’s been an active touring musician for over two decades, and she’s also spent a great deal of time working in the entertainment industry as a musician, an event planner, and as a wedding DJ. 

Carmen has exceptional taste in music for every occasion, but she also knows the ins and outs of event and wedding planning and is happy to help answer any questions, and offer insight on how to make your event flow with ease.  

Carmen grew up in Detroit, so Motown and soul classics sit near and dear to her heart, but her musical tastes span far and wide across the board, and she is always looking for that new tune to lead her in a fresh musical discovery. Her favorite thing about working events is learning her hosts’ musical taste, in order to curate the perfect sonic backdrop to each part of the day. From classic-inspired cocktail hours to energy packed dance parties, Carmen knows how to gauge a crowd and what to play:   ‘80s vault to modern dance hits!

Carmen has played in a variety of touring bands for over 20 years, and is currently spending time out on the road playing bass with Ashleigh Flynn and The Riveters, Mama Sam and the Jam, Lowlight, and many other local projects. She’s also a marketing specialist for McMenamins’ live music venues. 

When Carmen is not touring, she is working as many weddings and events as possible.  Next to playing music live, bearing witness and being a part of people’s happiest days brings Carmen the most joy.
