Glass of Hearts

Glass of Hearts is Portland’s one and only Blondie cover band.  They capture the look and feel of Blondie in its prime.

With decades of stage experience between the seasoned members, the band brings an authentic and energetic Blondie experience to life, from their punk rock roots to their New Wave and popsong glamour eras.  

The band is fronted by vocalist Liz Ghiz.  Born and raised in Oregon, Liz acquired her love of singing where lots of young singers do – in the church choir.  After deciding hymns weren’t her cup of tea, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting seriously at the American Academy of Modern Arts.  

The ability to professionally pretend has influenced Liz’s rocking version of what Debbie Harry brings to the stage.  Liz is also a local school teacher, sharing her enthusiasm for performance and music with her eager students.  

Liz’s bold foray into Blondie’s catalog is supported by a stellar backing band, featuring keyboardist/singer Aaron Andrade, drummer Greg Odell, lead guitarist Matt Bradley and bassist Chad Taggart. The band has over 3 hours of Blondie material (as well as other fun dance hits from the same '80s era) in their repertoire.
