The Libertine Belles

The Libertine Belles formed in the summer of 2011 and have been crooning their hot-tomato-trio way into Portland, OR's collective heart ever since.

Whether they are banging out original songs with the solid rhythms of Prohibition-Era 1930s swing or sprinkling fresh sparkle on old American jazz standards, the Libertine Belles’ infectious 3-part harmony and deliciously bawdy stage demeanor keep audiences excitedly tuned into their antics.

The trio is led by spicy three-part harmonists Dee Settlemier (vocals, 6-string tenor ukulele), Teresa Boyd (vocals, salty snare drum) and Carrie Baldwin-Sayre (vocals, percussion, melodica).  Their traditional Tin-Pan-Alley instrumentation is rounded out by Jason Wells on cornet and Pete Lampe on upright acoustic bass.

The Belles all carry high pedigrees in the Portland music community, having performed with such illustrious groups as March Fourth, The Midnight Serenaders, The Stolen Sweets, The Saloon Ensemble and the Jenny Finn Orchestra.

Their rich performance history includes appearances at the Cathedral Park Jazz Festival, Portland Waterfront Blues Festival, Portland Apple Tasting Festival, Washington Park Summer Festival, Northwest Folklife Festival, Oregon State Fair and Miz Kitty's Parlour, among many others.
